Avant Technologies has announced plans to partner with Ainnova Tech on a fundus camera integrated with artificial intelligence (AI) software that the company says can make early disease detection more accessible and precise.

The retinal camera is designed to capture high-quality images automatically, and will work seamlessly with Ainnova's Vision AI software, which can identify early markers of diseases such as diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma, and AMD. The Vision AI platform can also integrate other health data to detect systemic conditions like cardiovascular risk, kidney disease and diabetes, Avant said in a press release.

This joint venture will be managed by Ai-nova Acquisition Corp (AAC), which plans to offer the product as a pay-per-use subscription package targeted at clinics, pharmacies, insurance providers, and occupational health services.
