Virtual Vision Health and VirtuaLens announced a strategic partnership to expand access to and accelerate adoption of VR screening and patient education tools. The Virtual Eye VR platform, from Virtual Vision Health, provides an all-in-one solution with tests for visual fields, progression analysis, color sensitivity, visual acuity, and more, according to a press release issued by VirtuaLens.
Designed for cataract and refractive surgeons, the VirtuaLens IOL Simulator bridges the gap between complex lens explanations and true patient understanding—helping patients see, compare, and confidently choose the lens best suited to their lifestyle. It complements Virtual Vision’s portfolio of accurate, reliable preoperative and postoperative screening tools for providers, creating a unified VR ecosystem for diagnostics and education, the press release stated.
According to the press release, the partnership allows Virtual Vision Health to distribute the VirtuaLens IOL Simulator, expanding its offerings beyond diagnostics into advanced patient education through immersive VR. For VirtuaLens, the collaboration leverages Virtual Vision Health’s established market presence to accelerate adoption among doctors and patients.
Under the agreement, Virtual Vision Health will lead commercialization and serve as a distribution partner in the United States and Brazil, while VirtuaLens remains responsible for product development, sales, and ongoing customer support. Distribution in all other international markets will continue to be managed directly through VirtuaLens and its global distribution partners.
The VirtuaLens is now available in the United States and Brazil. VirtuaLens has formed a strategic distribution partnership with Virtual Vision Health, providing direct sales in the US and Brazil. The company said it plans to work with additional EUMEA global distribution partners to establish registration and availability in the coming months.
