Bausch + Lomb announced the US launch of Asana gas permeable (GP) lenses. Asana offers eyecare professionals a versatile, all-in-one comprehensive GP portfolio, featuring spherical, aspheric, toric, multifocal, multifocal toric, reverse geometry, and keratoconic contact lenses, the company said in a press release.
According to Bausch + Lomb, Asana GP lenses are designed to maintain their shape throughout the day, delivering excellent visual acuity. Their rigid material resists protein and fatty deposits, helping to maintain clarity and comfort, and their high durability offers strong resistance to breaking and chipping.
For patients with high corneal astigmatism, severe refractive errors, keratoconus, corneal irregularities, or post-surgical vision correction needs, gas permeable lenses provide enhanced visual precision to address these more complex vision challenges.
