DOYLESTOWN, PA – November 2021 – Abigail Markward, Director of Business Development for PentaVision Live!, recently was honored with the 2021 Visionary Leader Award, presented by Ophthalmic World Leaders (OWL). The Leadership award was presented at OWL’s Signature Event & Awards Ceremony held during the annual American Academy of Ophthalmology meeting in New Orleans. The award recognizes an individual who has demonstrated leadership throughout their career and “paved the way for diversity in their field through significant achievement.”

Ms. Markward, the immediate past president of OWL, has more than 20 years of experience in the ophthalmic industry where she has demonstrated excellence in advertising, marketing, public relations, content development, product management, and event planning. A member of OWL for nearly a decade, she has been instrumental in creating innovative, informational, and inspirational programs and digital events for the organization. Additionally, she has volunteered for SightLife, a non-profit organization dedicated to eliminating corneal blindness worldwide, since 2009.
