Spectrum Vision Partners, a management services organization serving the ophthalmology sector, has entered into a strategic relationship with Ophthalmic Consultants of Connecticut (OCC) and Norwalk, CT-based New Vision Cataract Center (NVCC) to position OCC and NVCC for further expansion in Connecticut. In related news, Ophthalmic Consultants of Long Island (OCLI), a multi-specialty eyecare group, has entered into a strategic relationship with Blue Sea Capital LLC, private equity firm. Blue Sea Capital has signed a definitive agreement for an investment into Spectrum Vision Partners to administratively support OCLI's continued growth in the Long Island, NY market and completion of future affiliations with leading eyecare providers in the Tri-State region and beyond.

As part of the transactions, physician partners at both OCC and OCLI will maintain their current roles with their respective groups and will hold significant ownership of Spectrum Vision Partners.

BSM CONSULTING PURCHASES WEST COAST ASC FIRM

BSM Consulting, a global consulting firm, recently announced the purchase of Progressive Surgical Solutions (PSS), a Southern California-based consulting company specializing in strategic assessment and planning, compliance, development, and management of ASCs. BSM will retain the PSS brand, as well as its team, bringing the combined staff to a total of 60. ■
