VITAL ART AND SCIENCE MVT SERVICE APP
5 Vital Art and Science introduced the myVisionTrack (mVT) Service, a medical device and physician portal that tracks the progression of age-related macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy. The device, available only by prescription, is a downloadable app for Apple iPhone or iPad. Patients take a four- to six-minute self-test, then the data automatically uploads to a physician’s portal where eyecare professionals can monitor, review and analyze the results. A significant change in the eye condition sends an alert to the doctor who will determine if an earlier intervention is required, such as new appointment, assessment or treatment.
