BAUSCH + LOMB SWEPT SOURCE OCT IMAGING SYSTEM AND SOFTWARE

1 Bausch + Lomb’s Swept Source OCT imaging system and software adds to the capabilities of its VICTUS femtosecond laser platform. The redesigned interface is designed to aid custom treatment planning, the company says. Features include high-resolution imaging and auto-recognition of eye landmarks, such as the pupil, anterior capsule and posterior capsule. Also, the Swept Source OCT and software improves imaging speed and sensitivity, the company says.

ALCON PAZEO SOLUTION

Alcon’s Pazeo (olopatadine hydrochloride ophthalmic solution) 0.7% is used to treat ocular itching associated with allergic conjunctivitis at 24 hours post-treatment, the company says. Pazeo solution is dosed one drop daily.

2 ColorDx Pro, Konan Medical’s military-grade, extended color vision diagnostics app, is available for iPad, Android, Windows and Mac computers. ColorDx includes self-administered, automatically scored vocational color vision assessments. The app tests for genetic (protan/deutan) and acquired (tritan) color vision deficiencies when assessing various neurological and ocular disorders or substance toxicities that can cause a tritan deficiency, the company says.

IMPRIMIS COMBINATION EYEDROP FORMULATIONS

Imprimis Pharmaceuticals’ triamcinolone acetonide and moxifloxacin hydrochloride (Tri-Moxi) and prednisolone acetate and moxifloxacin hydrochloride (Pred-Moxi) are proprietary combination eyedrop formulations. The formulations are designed for patients’ use after laser refractive, cataract and other surgeries. Tri-Moxi and Pred-Moxi are intended to reduce the number of eyedrop administrations, the company says.
