DONNENFELD IRRIGATING HOOK

■ Accutome, Inc. announces the release of the Donnenfeld Irrigating Hook. Developed in conjunction with Eric Donnenfeld, M.D., it was designed to facilitate the positioning of toric IOLs, especially once viscoelastic is removed from the eye. The instrument has two irrigating ports at its tip that help to open the capsular bag, allowing the surgeon to rotate the toric IOL. The hook on the bottom gently grabs the haptic for rotation. The Donnenfeld Irrigating Hook is available in a straight or angled tip configuration.

BEVELED DEGREE GAUGE

■ Asico has introduced a beveled degree gauge with atraumatic fixation teeth, and says its special etching and bevel design increases clarity and avoids glare under the microscope. In addition, there are laser lines every five degrees for greater accuracy. The gauge is available in 12 mm ID and 16 mm OD.
