DEVGAN AXIS MARKER
Accutome
■ Developed in conjunction with Uday Devgan, MD, the Devgan Axis Marker can be mounted to most standard tonometer housing units at the slit lamp. It can be used with or without gentian violet ink.
Dr. Devgan rotates the instrument to the proper axis and keeps the eyelid open for about 20 seconds to slightly dry the cornea. He then presses the marker gently on the cornea using his finger. The marks are spread 6 mm apart and typically last for 24 hours. He can use these marks to make anterior stromal puncture marks that typically last for two weeks.
