GALILEI DUAL SCHEIMPFLUG ANALYZER
Ziemer USA
■ The Galilei Dual Scheimpflug Analyzer is a high-precision optical system for corneal topography and three-dimensional analysis of the anterior eye segment, based on Revolving Dual Channel Scheimpflug cameras and a placido disk. The Galilei combines the advantages of two technologies: placido imaging furnishes high-accuracy curvature data, while Scheimpflug imaging is optimal for precise elevation data. Within a single scan of less than 2 seconds, the Galilei captures up to 60 high-resolution slit images, placido images and top view images of the anterior segment of the eye. After correction for eye motion, all images are then merged into a single high-precision dataset, to deliver the highest achievable precision in 3-D pachymetry, topography and anterior chamber geometry, says the company.
Galilei also features an adjustable near/far fixation target that allows examination at different accommodation states.
