PACHPEN
Accutome
The PachPen's ergonomic design makes taking measurements quick and easy. The unit has the ability to take nine readings and average them. In addition, the IOP correction calculator converts entered IOP measurements from a tonometer in seconds. Accutome says its Digital Signal Analysis actually examines waveforms and eliminates marginally aligned measurements.

VISANTE
Carl Zeiss Meditec
|
The Visante OCT system is the first to provide clear, highly detailed anterior segment images – including the angle – without the need for ocular anesthesia or a messy, time-consuming water bath, says Carl Zeiss Meditec. Visante OCT high-resolution corneal and anterior segment images support the evaluation of narrow angle and ocular health. Additionally, Visante OCT is the first non-contact device to image, measure and document post-LASIK flap and residual stromal bed thickness.

PACHMATE DGH55
DGH Technology
DGH Technology says the DGH55 is one of the world's
smallest and lightest handheld
pachymeters. The portable DGH55 pachymeter is only 6.9 inches long and weighs 3.6
ounces. It is designed for assisting in glaucoma and LASIK screening. DGH Technology
says that the DGH55 is the only pachymeter in which the probe can be safely folded
into the handle.

CC-7000 AND THE SP-9000
Konan Medical, Inc.
|
K Both Konan's CC-7000 and the SP-9000 have a built-in pachometer. The device uses an electro-optical method to measure the thickness of the cornea. The CC-7000 measures the cornea thickness at the same time it photographs the endothelium. The SP-9000 model has a separate mode for increased accuracy.

PALMSCAN P2000
Micro Medical Devices, Inc.
The PalmScan P2000 is a portable, wireless, pocket-size, battery-operated ultrasonic biometer able to perform numerous functions, including IOP adjustment, peripheral corneal measurement, intraoperative flap thickness and corneal bed measurement, as well as measure corneal scar size and depth.
The P2000's desktop patient data management software can interface with any existing EMR. P2000 is suited for physicians treating patients in multiple settings and can be upgraded to include an A-scan.

RESPONSE ANALYZER
Reichert
The Reichert Ocular Response Analyzer not only enables the measurement of central corneal thickness, it also direct measure of corneal biomechanical properties. This new measurement, called corneal hysteresis, is an indicator of the overall integrity of the cornea providing more complete information than thickness alone. The system is able to present IOPcc, a new measure of IOP that correlates with Goldmann, but is less affected by corneal properties, such as elasticity, resistance and thickness.

PACSCAN
Sonomed
|
The Sonomed PacScan is a portable, digital pachymeter with intuitive touch screen operation and automatic scan capture. The 20 MHz transducer provides excellent accuracy and measurements as thin as 100 microns, says Sonomed. On-board diagnostic system calibration and probe sensitivity tests are performed automatically to ensure accurate and repeatable readings. PacScan is available as a stand-alone pachymeter with choice of probes.

CORNEO-GAGE PLUS
Sonogage
The Corneo-Gage Plus portable ultrasonic pachometer is available with an optional built-in printer and only needs recharging once a year. Sonogage's proprietary 50 MHz transducer technology and Soft-Touch probe design offer increased visibility and a reduced chance of corneal abrasions. Individual readings are not averaged, thus avoiding false high measurements. With a measurement range of 25μ - 2mm, and an accuracy of ±0.4μ, any LASIK flap can be measured without the addition of fluids, and users can also measure IntraLase flaps in situ.

EAGLE EYE 3000
Vision Medical Instruments
Vision Medical Instruments' Eagle Eye 3000 is a user-friendly, precision pachymeter. Its 1/4 micron precision and +/- 1 micron repeatability makes it unnecessary to perform any additional "filtering" or "averaging." Vision says the Eagle Eye 3000 is the only pachymeter that self-calibrates. This feature provides accurate performance for the life of the unit.
