IRIS MEDICAL OCULIGHT LASER
Iridex
Iridex Corporation manufactures the IRIS Medical OcuLight GL/GLx green (532 nm) solid-state lasers indicated for laser trabeculoplasty and retina photocoagulation procedures. Iridex says laser systems are widely accepted for their reliability, performance, ease of use, portability, and affordability. OcuLight systems offer a similar clinical response to argon lasers but don't have expensive installation or maintenance costs.
The OcuLight GL/GLx are compatible with a complete line of delivery devices including slit lamp adapters, laser indirect ophthalmoscopes, endoprobe handpieces, dermatology kit, and an integrated slit lamp workstation.

THE VISULAS YAG III COMBI
Carl Zeiss Meditec
The Visulas YAG III Combi allows practitioners to switch between the YAG and coagulation lasers at the push of a button. The YAG laser achieves optical breakdown with 37% less energy than any other, reducing the risk of side effects based on optical breakdown in air of 2.5 mJ vs. 4 mJ, using exclusive Super-Gaussian beam profile. The coagulation laser has lower power density at the cornea, reducing the risk of corneal burns.

CONTACT LENS
The Lagado Corporation has received FDA marketing clearance for ONSI-56 (onsifocon A), an innovative rigid silicone-hydrogel contact lens. The silicone-hydrogel polymer has been formulated to hydrate on the surface like a soft silicone-hydrogel while remaining rigid in the interior of the lens. ONSI-56 lenses combine the wettability and comfort of a soft silicone-hydrogel lens with the permeability and durability of an RGP lens. Spherical, aspheric, toric and bifocal ONSI-56 lenses will be available from authorized custom contact lens laboratories.
