INFINITI
Alcon
Alcon's Infiniti System is the world's first tri-modal cataract-removal surgical instrument. Surgeons have a choice of three different methods to remove a cataract: advanced ultrasound phacoemulsification alone; ultrasound combined with oscillation provided by the NeoSonix handpiece; or the new AquaLase liquefaction device that generates pulses of surgical solution to safely break up and remove the lens material.
The Infiniti also features a fluid-management system with rigid elements that increases fluid control and response. The Infiniti's redesigned user interface gives the surgeon the freedom to interact with the full range of software and hardware capabilities.

SOVEREIGN,
SOVEREIGN COMPACT
AMO
AMO's Sovereign System with Whitestar Technology uses digitally modulated phacoemulsification to reduce the amount of phaco energy directed into the eye while providing full ultrasound cutting efficiency. Its "magnetic" followability draws nuclear fragments safely and efficiently to the phaco tip. This results in visibly clearer corneas 1-day post-op without changing technique.
The patented Occlusion Mode system of microprocessor sensors digitally monitors anterior chamber conditions. The system detects pressure variations at the phaco tip and responds instantly, virtually eliminating post-occlusion surges.
The Sovereign Compact offers the superior fluidics and advanced power control of the Sovereign, including Whitestar technology. The Sovereign Compact delivers solid chamber stability through digital fluidics and the programmable Occlusion Mode. The system provides a broad range of options to disassemble the nucleus, while the optional Whitestar technology allows for cold phaco and clearer corneas 1-day post-op.

MILLENNIUM
Bausch & Lomb
The Millennium Microsurgical System incorporates dual linear technology. This technology gives you simultaneous, independent control of aspiration and ultrasound.
The Millennium also lets you use phaco burst mode, and features software-enhanced power modulation, programmable pulse width range, and linear control of burst interval, with the "lowest ultrasound frequency available" (28.5 kHz).

SONIC WAVE
Staar Surgical Company
The Sonic Wave system from Staar Surgical fragments lenses while operating in the sonic (40-500 Hz) frequency range, effectively preventing corneal burns. The surgeon selects the traditional ultrasound mode using the footswitch. Vacuum rise time is reduced with the patented PeriVent fluidics coupled with a stable anterior chamber when using the UltraVAC coiled tubing or the Cruise Control aspiration filtering device. The auto-tuning handpiece eliminates the need for recalibration. An optional Power-Touch computer digitally records physiological parameters and the microscope video for later review.
