OPD-SCAN
Nidek
The compact OPD-Scan combines a refractive power analyzer, wavefront analyzer, corneal topographer and autorefractor/keratometer into one unit. The unit produces all measurements and maps in diopters, covering -20 to +22 D sphere and -16 to +16 D cylinder.
Also, the OPD-Scan offers axis alignment between topography and wavefront maps.

ORBSCAN
Bausch & Lomb
The Orbscan II analyzes elevation and curvature measurements on both the anterior and posterior surfaces of the cornea.
B&L says that with the Orbscan II you can identify exclusionary criteria -- such as keratoconus, pre-keratoconus and corneal thinning -- to optimize outcomes.

SCOUT
EyeQuip
The Scout Topographer features infrared pupillometry and corneal wavefront mapping. The infrared pupillometer lets you take pupil-diameter measurements in either light or dark conditions. The corneal wavefront mapping display shows both lower- and higher-order aberrations, either of which can be removed from the map.
Three models are available: Portable with battery, slit lamp-mounted, and tabletop with a headrest.

3-D WAVE
Marco
The 3-D Wave gives you three types of data: Topography, refraction and wavefront analysis.
Under topography data, the 3-D Wave offers several maps, including the Instantaneous Map, which shows the true shape or terrain of the cornea for pathology detection. Under refraction data, the 3-D Wave offers the Optical Path Difference Map, which displays the distribution of aberrations within a 6-mm zone. Under wavefront data, the 3-D Wave offers higher- and lower-order wavefront maps.

To help maintain the anterior chamber, the Kershner II One-Step Micro Capsulorrhexis Forceps has irrigation capabilities. |
|
BI-MANUAL FORCEPS
The Kershner II One-Step Micro Capsulorrhexis Forceps can pass through a 1.1-mm incision, thanks to 22-gauge tubing.
The jaws of the forceps are close to the distal tube, so you can grasp the subincisional anterior capsule without interference from the incision. Moreover, the jaws have sharp cystotome tips that can pinch, open and grasp the capsule in one motion, without the need for a separate cystotome.

CIBA Vision says AQuify is the first
contact lens comfort drop with a naturally disappearing preservative. |
|
AQUIFY
CIBA Vision has developed AQuify, a new contact lens comfort drop that mimics the behavior of natural tears.
AQuify's main ingredient is sodium hyaluronate. This means all contact lens wearers can use AQuify, including those with preservative allergies or extra-sensitive eyes.
According to data on file at CIBA Vision, 84% of participants in a study reported that AQuify was good, very good or excellent for moisturizing and relief of dryness. Also, 80% of daily wear patients and 74% of extended wear patients said that using AQuify enhanced their lens-wearing experience.
