The American Surgical Instruments Corporation (ASICO) now offers the Akahoshi Acrylic IOL Loading Forceps.
ASICO believes the Akahoshi Loading Forceps is an ideal instrument to set a single-piece AcrySof in an injector like the Monarch.
You can also use the Akahoshi Loading Forceps when you're working with conventional three-piece AcrySof lenses, as long you implant the lenses with an injector. In that instance, ASICO suggests you use its Royale Unihand Injector Handpiece.

The GDx VCC's color map offers improved display resolution for clearer and simpler exam interpretations, says an LDT spokesperson. |
|
GDx ADDITION
Laser Diagnostic Technologies (LDT) presents the GDx VCC, a glaucoma-detection device that uses scanning laser polarimetry to asses the health, structure and thickness of the retinal nerve fiber layer (RNFL).
LDT believes the GDx VCC gives you numerous advantages, such as providing a diagnostic impression in a single exam. Also, the GDx VCC has Variable Corneal Compensation, which virtually eliminates corneal interference. And the instrument provides essential diagnostic information via its normative database and glaucoma-trained neural network.
The GDx VCC will be on display at the LDT booth (#459) at the American Academy of Ophthalmology meeting this month in Orlando.
