Carl Zeiss Surgical has unveiled its new OPMI pico i microscope, an affordably priced compact, ergonomic, mobile unit that "contains everything you need and nothing you don't." You can use the OPMI pico i for post-op LASIK examinations, as well as general examinations and therapies for the outer eye.

The OPMI pico i features an integrated 406-nm ultraviolet filter, apo-chromatic optics, a five-step magnification changer and fine-focusing objective lens, one-touch bulb exchange and an automatic on/off light switch.

The OPMI pico i also features an optional integrated video system, including a single-chip video camera and camera control unit, as well as a video cable input that runs through the unit's carrier arm, eliminating loose cables.

The OPMI pico i is available with integrated cabling on the Zeiss S100 floor, wall or ceiling mounts.
