PAREMYD LAUNCH
Akorn, Inc. is launching Paremyd, a topical product that is both mydriatic and cycloplegic.

Paremyd, which consists of tropicide 0.25% and hydroxyamphetamine hydrobromide 1%, is used for pupil dilation in eye exams and routine ophthalmic diagnostic procedures.

"Paremyd's fast onset will benefit patients by decreasing waiting time during eye exams, allowing you to better manage patient flow through your office," says an Akorn spokesperson. "In addition to its fast onset, Paremyd provides short-lasting pupil dilation, sparing patients the often-required dilation reversal step."
