LOW VISION AID
For your low vision patients: The Videolupe from Eschenbach is an illuminated stand magnifier connected to an electronic video magnifier that plugs into any television. Because you can look through the stand magnifier as well as see the image further enlarged on the TV screen, the Videolupe provides two magnifications: 3x (7.6D) through the optical lens and 9x to 17.5x on the TV (depending on the size of the TV screen). LENSPEN AND LENSES
Volk Optical is now offering three new products: two vitrectomy lenses and a lens cleaner.
|
|
The LensPen cleans coated lens surfaces such as those on your binocular indirect ophthalmoscope or laser. |
According to Volk, the clariVit Wide Angle and the clariVit Central Mag are high-resolution vitrectomy lenses that eliminate the air gap between the contact and imaging elements. Both lenses feature improved resolution, extra-wide field capability, light-loss reduction and minimized reflections.
The other new Volk product is the LensPen. One end features a retractable brush, which effectively removes loose particles of dirt; the other end features a soft cleaning pad with a no-liquid, carbon-based compound that wipes away smudges and reduces static charge build-up. You can use the LensPen to clean adapters, filters and coated lens surfaces that don't touch the eye.
