IMAGING SYSTEM
|
|
EyeCap, a digital imaging system, has a search-and-query function so you can quickly access images from any patient visit |
EyeCap, the new digital imaging system from Haag-Streit, can store and provide quick access to as many as 350,000 images. (This requires 20 gigabytes of free space on your hard drive.) EyeCap will allow clinicians at different locations on a network to view an image simultaneously. The system features a simple, easy-to-use design.
EyeCap's database includes a user-definable grading form and report writer, which will let you assess images and produce customized reports.

MOBILE REFRACTOR
|
|
Both the Palm-AR and the Palm-ARK (pictured) have a battery with a long life, which cuts down on recharging. |
|
Marco Technologies now sells two handheld products, the Palm-Automatic Refractor (AR) and the Palm-Automatic Refractor/Keratometer (ARK).
When using the Palm-AR or the Palm-ARK, you can move from room to room for refraction or keratometry readings. The readings can either be taken from the screen display or printed out using Marco's infrared printer communication.
Both the Palm-AR and the Palm-ARK interface with Marco's TRS-2100 and EPIC-2100 refraction systems.

The Masket Sub-Tenon Cannula (top/left) and the Rhein Sub-Tenon Cannula (bottom/right) each have a 19-gauge barrel. |
Rhein Medical has added two cannulas to its line of instruments: the Masket Sub-Tenon Cannula and the Rhein Sub-Tenon Cannula.
Both cannulas have a flattened and curved cannulated neck. The Masket Sub-Tenon Cannula features dual 0.3-mm distal ports for forward and lateral dispersion of anesthesia. The Rhein Sub-Tenon Cannula features a single distal port for forward dispersion of anesthesia.
Both cannulas have a round distal tip, which makes insertion less traumatic, according to Rhein Medical.

MESOTEST
|
|
You can use the Mesotest II preoperatively and postoperatively on your IOL and refractive surgery patients. |
Oculus, Inc. calls its Mesotest II "an important tool for testing mesopic vision and glare sensitivity." As you know, testing mesopic vision and glare sensitivity are supplements to photopic vision testing, especially when assessing night-driving vision.
The Mesotest II can take measurements in brightly lit rooms. It provides measurements at four contrast levels, with and without glare. Examination programs run at the touch of a key and require no change of test discs. With optional software, you and your staff can operate the Mesotest II through the practice's computer.
The Mesotest II weighs 17 pounds. A carrying case is optional.
