Ophthalmology Management's
income survey of ophthalmologists produced several interesting results. A few highlights:
- Of the doctors responding to the survey, all those who reported grossing more than $860,000 in '97 made even more in '98.
- Doctors on salary averaged much lower net income than independents. Almost all the salaried doctors who responded netted $250,000 or less; nearly half the independents took home more than that.
