With the seemingly constant advances being made in equipment these days, its easy to get caught up in "technology fever." But before you rush to upgrade to the latest model, William J. Tice, managing director of The Hillside Group, recommends you ask yourself the following questions:
- Will the equipment allow me to perform a new procedure?
- Will I be able to perform a current procedure better or less expensively?
- Is my existing equipment worn out?
- Does the new system have all of the features I require?
- Would used equipment suffice?
- Are any technological breakthroughs on the horizon?
Your answers to these questions will help you determine if its realistic for you to start investigating a potential upgrade.
