Dr. John Jarstad of the Evergreen Eye Centers in Seattle performs surgery just one day a week in his ambulatory surgery center. With efficient scheduling, Dr. Jarstad performs more than 20 surgeries a day. His registered nurses who used to be full-time are now part-time. OR prep time is cut because surgeries are done in one day.
