NEW PRODUCT REPORT
ICONNECT RETINAL SCREENING
Merge Healthcare’s end-to-end retinal screening solution provides doctors a tool to identify and diagnose patients with diabetic retinal disease. The iConnect, the latest addition to Merge’s Interoperability Suite, enables doctors to capture retinal images through an automated camera, reducing the necessity for staff to receive specialty training. The images are then transferred to a reading center where trained technicians and pathologists interpret results. The results are transmitted to the doctor’s EHR.

ASICO ECCENTRIC TIP
The ‘eccentric’ in eccentric tip, a part of the Harmonyx transformational lens removal technology from Asico, refers to the tip’s off-center port. An asymmetrical weight balance creates up- and down-movement. This additional movement transforms longitudinal systems into oscillatory technology. Harmonyx can be applied to any phaco system. The eccentric tip has no sharp edges and is polished to ensure a safe lens-removal procedure.
