DIRECTVIEW 1 MIRROR SLV
1 The DirectView 1 Mirror SLT, from ion VISion, has a single-element, all glass lens design for SLT procedures, although it can be used for other trabeculoplasty procedures as well. The lens has an offset top convex surface that places the image and laser application precisely over the internal reflection-viewing mirror. To accommodate laser treatment, the lens provides a 13.5-mm contact surface, exacting 1.0x mirror magnification / laser spot and 1.5x high-magnification central viewing. Broadband anti-reflective coating is included.

OPHTACATH LACRIMAL DUCT BALLOON CATHETER
2 The OphtaCath from FCI Ophthalmics Inc. has been designed to achieve true dilation of the lacrimal duct and rapidly and effectively treat symptoms of epiphora. It eliminates the placement of tubes in incisional procedures such as DCR. The OphtaCath is available in 2- or 3-mm kits with one or two balloon catheters and a disposable inflation device.

GEUDER HYBRID SERIES
The instruments in Geuder’s Hybrid series facilitate stitching within the anterior chamber via the paracentesis without the need of inserting and removing long needles. The 25-gauge instrument set consists of a micro needle holder and a tying forceps. The company says this set is designed for iris sutures and the suture fixation of dislocated intraocular lenses. It also includes a pair of 25-gauge hybrid scissors to facilitate precise cutting of the threads after tying the knots.

BLUMENTHAL IRIDOTOMY LENS
3 This specialty lens, designed for iridotomy procedures to increase access to the periphery, is intended to better preserve surrounding tissue during glaucoma treatment. The contact lens indents the cornea to open the angle and flatten the peripheral iris. Volk created the lens in conjunction with Eytan Blumenthal, MD, chairman of ophthalmology at Rambam Health Care Campus in Hafia, Israel.
